Compression molding is a manufacturing process used to produce plastic parts by placing a measured amount of plastic material (usually in the form of pellets, preforms, or sheet) into a heated mold cavity. Suitable for producing relatively simple to moderately complex parts with good surface finish and dimensional accuracy. It is commonly used in industries such as cap and closure or other parts. The process offers advantages in cost-effectiveness for medium to high volume production runs and can accommodate a wide range of thermosetting plastics.

SX002J

SCGC GREEN POLYMER™ SX002J is a high density polyethylene resin with superior stress cracking resistant and excellent mechanical property balance. It is particularly designed for light-weight carbornated soft drink caps. This resin has excellent processability for both injection molding and continuous compression molding.
